Senator Miller moved that the bill be returned to second reading for the purpose of a specific amendment, that being Amendment No. 2. Without objection, the resolution was returned to second reading. Senator Miller offered Amendment No. 2 : Page 2, line 14: Add: (3) Request that the National Marine Fisheries Service work with the regional councils on conservation and management measures to protect essential fisheries habitat from adverse effects; Senator Miller moved for the adoption of Amendment No. 2. Senator Zharoff objected. Senator Zharoff offered the following amendment to Amendment No. 2: In Amendment No. 2, after regional: Insert fishery management Senator Zharoff moved for the adoption of the amendment to Amendment No. 2. Without objection, the amendment to Amendment No. 2 was adopted. Senator Zharoff withdrew his objection to Amendment No. 2. There being no further objections, Amendment No. 2 as amended was adopted.
